GOYETURU
Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
This explains what personal data we collect when you use goyeturu, why we need it, who else sees it, and the choices you have. We have written it to match what the website actually does.
1. Who is responsible
goyeturu decides why and how your data is used. For any question about your data, write to support@goyeturu.in.
2. What we collect
- Your account: first and last name, mobile number, a password (we store only a scrambled form of it, so we can never read it), and, if you choose to give them, your email address and date of birth.
- Delivery details: the recipient's name, phone number and address (house, area, town, PIN code, state). If you are signed in, these are saved to your profile so you do not have to type them again.
- Your orders: what you ordered, the amounts, delivery charge, payment method and whether it has been paid, the order status and expected delivery date, and any notes our team makes about your order.
- Messages we send you about your account and orders (confirmation links, receipts, delivery updates), and messages you send to us.
- Technical data: your IP address and basic device information, which our hosting provider records and which we use briefly to stop abuse (for example, limiting repeated sign-in attempts).
We do not ask for card numbers or bank details on this website, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
3. Why we use it
- To create your account, take and deliver your orders, contact you about them, take payment and give refunds.
- To keep the website and your account secure and to prevent fraud and misuse.
- To keep the records that Indian accounting and tax laws require.
- To answer your questions and complaints.
Your date of birth is optional. We keep it on your profile only because you chose to give it. We do not currently use it for marketing or anything else. If we ever want to use it, for example for a birthday greeting, we will tell you first and ask for your agreement. We do not send marketing emails or messages at present.
4. Who else sees your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed, with:
- Our delivery team, who see the recipient's name, phone number, address and order.
- Service providers that run the website for us: Cloudflare (hosting, our database and file storage, and website security), Resend (sending our emails to you) and GoDaddy (our domain and support mailbox, where messages you send us arrive).
- Authorities, if the law requires us to share information.
Some of these providers process data on servers outside India. We use them only for the purposes above.
5. Cookies and similar storage
- A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in on your device (up to 30 days, or until you sign out). It is essential for the site to work, so we do not ask for consent for it.
- Your basket is kept in your browser's own storage on your device.
- Our hosting provider may use technical cookies to protect the site. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.
6. How long we keep it
- Account details and saved addresses: until you delete your account.
- Order records: for as long as accounting and tax laws require. When you delete your account, past orders stay in our records but are no longer linked to your account.
- Sign-in sessions, confirmation links and security counters: only for their short validity (minutes to 30 days), then removed.
7. Your rights and choices
- See and correct your data: everything on your profile can be viewed and edited under My account, including your name, date of birth, email, password and saved addresses.
- Delete your account: use Delete my account under My account. This removes your profile, saved addresses and sign-in.
- Withdraw agreement to anything optional (such as your date of birth) at any time by removing it, or by writing to us.
- Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may also ask for a summary of the data we hold, ask us to correct or erase it, nominate someone to act for you, and complain if you are unhappy.
8. Complaints
Write to our grievance officer, at support@goyeturu.in. We will reply within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is set up.
9. Children
Accounts and orders are for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, tell us and we will delete it.
10. Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), passwords are stored in a scrambled form, access to our order data is limited to our team and protected by a one-time sign-in code, and we limit repeated sign-in attempts. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you do not use elsewhere.
11. Changes
If we change how we use your data we will update this page and its date, and ask you again where the law requires.
